Models with Chain Drive

General Info:
Chain driven versions have a steel swing arm and only for "Old Hub" (except the 240). Spoked, Disc & Zero Cool wheels are of course also available on request.

Harley® fitted larger wheel bearings from 2000 on. Because there are no aftermarket chain sprockets with the required larger internal diameter, we modify them. This removes the chrome plating to the inner area. There is no way of avoiding this & is not a reason for warranty claims. If this bothers you, we recommend re-chroming (we can organize this on request).

Bushes & Spacers: As there are so many variants all kits come with a selection including extra long ones. They must be matched to the bike as required. It's also possible that one or more different bushes are needed, (especially in years 79-81). Just let us know. We'll find the best solution.

All chain driven versions require a degree of technical know how. This means more than just unpacking & fitting the parts!

The parts are ready to fit as much as possible. Of course the swing arm, etc. will fit but the mounting the fender, bushes & spacers as mentioned (for fitting the wheel) must always be carried out on the bike.

Selection:
The Wide Tire Kits have been designed so that they can be installed in the factory standard frame.
If you'd like to push it a bit further take a look at our Wide Tire Kits with Rear frame Modification. These allow you to sit up to 15cm lower.
