The Knight

A knight in chrome and steel

More info about this product

At the time of the knights, the ladies of the castles were a favored target of these fearless fighters. In preparation for conquering foreign realms or those ladies they donned their suits of armor & polished up their weapons. This instinct seems to dwell in every man, look at how we ride around on our highly polished Harleys® on the prowl for the ladies or exploring foreign lands. Of course such a bike is really cool, but when you really want to speed along, it should be something a bit special. Our V2 Knight, is just such a steel horse that our fighters would take into the battle, but just a little bit more exclusive.
Once again we’ve come up with a great idea & created a style of bike, which would shatter the chastity belt locks of every castle lady. A 330 rear tire, frame with 4" High Neck, a 10" over fork & a humidor for “the cigar afterwards" are just some highlights. In order to realize the clean look we had to discard much of the armor & weaponry, but it was worth it.

The Zero Cool® frame, now available in a Chopper Version, has a 40° steering head angle which combined with the 10" longer SJP Fat Glide forks, provides decent ground clearance & ideal castor angle. The frame retains the original length, so it’s possible to set up for any rider size, using our mountings for the footpegs, shown here with OMP forward controls & fitted with Rocket pegs.
The Zero Cool® handlebars are available in many variations, here we’ve gone for black powder coated, to match those dark nights which bring out shady characters. The seating question has been answered by “Alles Leder”, so we could concentrate on constructing a machine to storm every castle. A fat 330 Avon tire is fitted to our new 12.5 x 17 wheel, the front gets a 150 tire which really sets off the new chopper rims. The wheels have been powder coated to the customer’s specifications complete with his V2 Knights engraving, which really emphasizes the bike’s individuality. We manufactured a swing arm based on the Project 300 to enable the fat rubber to be fitted & finished it off with a 75mm primary offset kit, which ensures both wheels run in alignment.

Sometimes good just isn’t good enough, so the Twin Cam® powerplant received some fine tuning, which would freeze the blood of every lord of the castle. A 1750cc Torquemaster Kit in combination with a Mikuni carburettor, balanced crankshaft & special camshafts produces such pulling power to really stretch your arms. We’ve fitted our Zero Cool® exhaust system with it’s 60mm pipes & almost 100dB because we know everyone loves to be heard coming as they ride around foreign realms. We’ve also fitted parts to the bike like the Rebuffini 3D hand controls, the fender made in our workshop & the Forcewinder airfilter, all this & more can be found in the Technical Specifications.

Much more important is that the custom bike rider feels comfortable & the bike builder considers everything that makes his steed the best possible. A special stainless steel container has been manufactured to protect & carry the knight’s cigars so he doesn’t have to miss out on life’s luxuries on his journey &… after a conquest a good cigar is the least that he should treat himself to. That wouldn’t be at all possible after a long ride in the saddle if it got wet or broken.

The horses used to be well groomed to give their coat a shine & the same goes for this ride’s “coat”. The base coat was applied by Harro & Danny was responsible for the noble airbrushing work.

For longer crusades a luggage rack has been made that is also unique. Using special mountings the Maltese cross can be fitted to the rear fender & provide plenty of luggage space.

Usually tales of chivalry end with “And they all lived happily ever after....”, but in this case the story doesn’t end because it’s now time for the owner’s great crusade throughout Europe to begin.
